Valentine’s day is a month away and Covid is still rampant so I compiled 5 Geeky Date Ideas for you and your Loved One(s). I also tried to make this budget-friendly. Almost everything I recommend can be found on my Amazon Shop page.

Bake some sugar cookies and decorate them

Get some premade cookie dough, icing, and sprinkles. The dollar store usually also has some heart-shaped cookie cutters, I quite like this set from Amazon. Get creative with the icing, by putting some on your partner’s nose or lips and see where it goes. Have fun with it.

Board Game Night

Grab a glass of wine, make a charcuterie board with your favorite cheeses and dried meats and pull out your favorite board game.  Some of my favorites are:

  • Scrabble
  • Sequence
  • Ludo

Video Game Night

If you don’t like board games, go ahead and have fun on whatever console you have. It’s fun to play with your partner. I love to play Minecraft with my husband, we chat over discord and have a blast going caving, defeating the Enderdragon or trying to find End cities to get an Elytra. Here are some fun games to play together. And watching the sunsets or sunrises in Minecraft are wonderful.

Movie Marathon

No matter what movie series you like, get comfy on the couch with popcorn, your favorite beverage, and some movie Candy (and no licorice is not a movie candy). Stream your favorites, this way you can cuddle up to each other under a soft blanket and just enjoy each other’s company. Some of our favorites are:

  • Star Wars
  • Matrix
  • Lord of the Rings
  • Harry Potter
  • MCU ( you need more than one date for this)

Build a Blanket Fort

Get your blankets out and build a comfortable blanket fort, then fill it with your favorite blankets and pillows, and books. Grab some snacks and spend some relaxing time with your partner(s) inside.  Decorate the fort with these cute battery-operated Fairy Lights.
